So you’re thinking about being a real estate agent, how can you become the best? Well, I always tell people when it comes to being a great real estate agent, it’s all about networking, right? It’s all about knowing people that want to buy in. It’s all about knowing people that want to sell. So the one thing you have to absolutely be prepared to do is get your name out. You gotta be prepared to do marketing. You may have want to do some direct mail marketing. You may want to call on some expired listings, attend neighborhood functions. I always tell people if you want to be a great agent, instead of being an agent, that’s just super-duper, but spread out all over the place. And nobody really knows you. The key there is become a great agent for maybe one or two neighborhoods where everybody does know you.

Knock on doors, talk to people, go to HOA associations, see you want get your name out into specific areas. When you get your name out in specific areas, then what happens over a period of time. People get to know you. So when somebody thinks about selling house, what do they think about? They will think about you let’s face it. Not everybody in, as a matter of fact, most people do not have a local agent in their back pocket. So it’s all about who do they know? So how do you become a great agent? Whether you’re a buyer agent or seller agent, you’ve got to get committed to networking, marketing, and getting your name out there. And those factors will make you an incredible, incredible agent.
